Boarding FAQs
If my dog doesn’t do especially well with other dogs or with the temperament test – can he still board with you?
Guests that do not pass our daycare temperament test are able to board in a traditional kennel for $65/night. They will be taken out for one-on-one play time with a team member 5-6 times a day.
My dog is not used to being in a kennel. Can he upgrade to being in an environment more like home?
Absolutely! We offer two additional options for dogs who are not used to boarding in crates or kennels: Suites and Cage-Free Boarding.
Our Suites are an excellent upgrade option. They are 60 square feet and offer much more space than the traditional boarding.
Cage-Free boarding is available for dogs who have proven excellent behavior in our daycare program. They will sleep in a bedroom style setting (300 sq. ft) with one of our well-trained team members. A normal full-size human bed is available for snoozing along with multiple dog beds scattered throughout the room. They will watch TV and snuggle with our staff from 7p-9:30p, go out for a final potty break and then head to bed for a comfortable night’s rest. The cost is $90/dog (additional dog discounts do not apply).
What can I bring for my dogs boarding visit?
It is not necessary to bring anything at all for your boarding visit. We offer raised beds, a fleece blanket and food/water bowls for every boarding dog. We feed Nutrisource Chicken and Rice dry kibble. Since a sudden change in food will often cause an upset tummy and diarrhea, we prefer to keep all dogs on their own diets. If you feed something besides Nutrisource, please bring food from home.
If you would like to bring a special blanket or toy, please be sure it is clearly labeled and can easily be washed in a normal capacity washer/dryer. CPDD is not responsible for lost or damaged items.
Do I need to make a reservation?
Yes! In order to provide the best care and safest environment possible for your dog during his stay (whether for the day or overnight) we require reservations. We recommend 3-4 weeks’ notice for major holiday boarding, as we fill up quickly..
